		Because of their high dynamics, high accuracy, wide speed range, and good control behavior servo drive systems by ESR are particularly suitable for positioning tasks.

There are many different ways to solve a positioning task. This page shortly presents the most common ones.

Point-to-point positioning

e. g. with the integrated positioning control of the digital servo drives TrioDrive D, MidiDrive D or MaxiDrive

very reasonable solution without higher-level controller
selecting and influencing the program via digital and analog inputs, fieldbus interface or serial interface (RS 232, RS 485)
alternatively with operator terminal, connected via fieldbus interface
on request as made-to-measure complete solution for your application

Coordinated multi-axis motions

e. g. based on the modular multi-axis servo system

full motion control functionality
for any type of servo motors (AC or DC servo motors, linear motors, torque motors, ...)
modular concept with minimum component variety
integration in higher-level systems possible via fieldbus interface

Automation systems with higher-level controllers (CNC/PLC)

analog transmission of setpoint and actual values (current or velocity) via ±10 V interface
for any number of axes
