Servo motors



With a torque range of 0.1 to 70 Nm, servo motors by ESR cover a wide spectrum of typical servo applications. The AC servo motors of the MR series impress by their high power density and high torques within compact dimensions; they are suited for universal use. The scope of delivery is rounded off by DC servo motors for lower powers.

  • self-cooling, on request cooling through external fan motor
  • design with flange according to DIN 42 677, installation position as required
  • form according to DIN IEC 34 part 7, IM B 5
  • bearing plates and housings made of high-quality light metal alloy
  • speed of up to 15,000 r.p.m. possible
  • rotor dynamically balanced according to vibration severity grade R, on request S
  • standard shaft end without groove, special version possible, e. g. with keyway
  • special motors, e. g. short motors (MR 6), high-grade steel flange and shaft, e. g. for applications in the foods industry (MR 74), hollow-shaft design available
  • holding brake optional

  • optional low-cost motors with barium ferrite magnets or motors with very high performance density thanks to samarium cobalt magnets
  • long brush life due to generously dimensioned collector and long brushes
  • ball-bearings greased for life
  • optional with tachogenerator and/or incremental encoder
  • smooth running
  • insulation according to insulation class F, DIN VDE 0530, optional withstanding tropical conditions
  • easy connection of the motor with standard connection cable, optional connectors or terminal box
  • self-cooling
  • design according to DIN 42 677, installation position as required
  • bearing plates and housings made of high-quality light metal alloy
  • rotor dynamically balanced according to vibration severity grade N
  • standard shaft end without groove, special version possible, e. g. with keyway
  • special motors, e. g. short motors, hollow-shaft design available

Characteristics of the gear boxes

  • planetary gears, low backlash, one-, two or three-stage, gear ratio 1 : 3 to 1 : 175
  • spur gears, gear ratio 1 : 3 to 1 : 70
  • angular gear boxes: worm gears, ratio 1 : 6 to 1 : 208, or bevel gears, low backlash, gear ratio 1 : 4 to 1 : 270, with solid or hollow shafts
