Ball Screw Axes
A ball screw axis consists of a linear module with ball screw by which a carriage can be moved back and forth, and a rotatory servo motor providing for the motion.
Advantages of the ESR ball screw linear modules:
- high forces possible
- suitable for moving high loads
- high repeatability
The linear modules can be combined with all ESR AC servo motors.
Characteristics of the ESR Ball Screw Linear Modules
- Two designs with a total of seven sizes
- Made of hard anodized aluminum profile
- Ball screw drive for low friction loss
- Integrated guide rail system
- Protection against dust and other pollution by cover strip
- Central lubrication of ball screw drive and guide rails via lubrication nipples
- Low wear
- No reference run (homing) required in combination with multi-turn motor position sensors (optional)
- Mounting via T-slots
- Can be combined to form a multi-axis system
