Servo Motors and Gear Boxes
With a torque range of 0.1 to 70 Nm, servo motors by ESR cover a wide spectrum of typical servo applications. The AC servo motors of the MR series impress by their high power density and high torques within compact dimensions; they are suited for universal use. The scope of delivery is rounded off by DC servo motors for lower powers.
Characteristics of the AC Servo Motors
- Maintenance-free, since brushless
- High dynamics
- Wide speed control range
- High power density due to rotor with rare earth permanent magnets
- Compact servo motors for universal use
- Ball bearings with grease filling for 20,000 operating hours
- Integrated resolver for sinusoidal commutation, optional optical encoders (incremental or absolute, single- or multiturn) for highest dynamics and accuracy
- Insulation according to insulation class F, DIN VDE 0530
- Easy connection of motor and encoder using connectors or terminal boxes
- Self-cooling, on request cooling through external fan motor
- Design with flange according to DIN 42 677, installation position as required
- Form according to DIN IEC 34 part 7, IM B 5
- Bearing plates and housings made of high-quality light metal alloy
- Speed of up to 15,000 r.p.m. possible
- Rotor dynamically balanced according to vibration severity grade R, on request S as specified in DIN EN 60034-14 (VDE 0530-14) or vibration severity grade N according to DIN ISO 2373
- Standard shaft end without groove, special version possible, e. g. with keyway
- Special motors, e. g. short motors (MR 68), high-grade steel flange and shaft (EHEDG-compliant Hygienic Design), e. g. for applications in the foods industry or pharma industry (ME 47), hollow-shaft design available
- Holding brake optional
Characteristics of the DC Servo Motors
- High dynamics
- Wide speed control range
- Compact dimensions due to low power/weight ratio
- Optional low-cost motors with barium ferrite magnets or motors with very high performance density thanks to samarium cobalt magnets
- Long brush life due to generously dimensioned collector and long brushes
- Ball-bearings greased for life
- Optional with tachogenerator and/or incremental encoder
- Smooth running
- Insulation according to insulation class F, DIN VDE 0530, optional withstanding tropical conditions
- Easy connection of the motor with standard connection cable, optional connectors or terminal box
- Self-cooling
- Design according to DIN 42 948, installation position as required
- Bearing plates and housings made of high-quality light metal alloy
- Rotor dynamically balanced according to vibration severity grade N
- Standard shaft end without groove, special version possible, e. g. with keyway
- Special motors, e. g. short motors, hollow-shaft design available
- Holding brake optional
